i am syl,

Most recently, I designed financial experiences at Baubap that helped users navigate moments of financial stress. Before that, I worked at Fintual, where I helped make investing more approachable for first-time investors.

I enjoy learning from people, navigating ambiguity with my team, and building products that help people move one step closer to their goals.

Baubap project 1

Optimizing payment extensions

The main goal was to align extension options with real user cashflow and improve the activation experience.

Simplified UX

Created a seamless, 2-step activation flow.

Clear Pricing

Redesigned the UI to prioritize transparent costs and match new branding.

Data-Driven Features

Introduced shorter extension periods based on user payment behavior research.

Loss rate: -15.5%

By matching product options to real-world financial realities.

PLACEHOLDER — replace with a description of the finished Baubap panel composition. This alt text is the only description a screen reader gets, because the panel image contains the entire composition.
Fintual project 2

USD investment account

Launch a new dollar-based investment product to help users protect their capital against global economic volatility.

Waitlist Strategy

Designed a pre-launch waitlist to measure user interest and define the core value proposition.

System Integration

Seamlessly integrated the new account flow into the existing app experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partnered closely with engineering and product teams to ensure a cohesive rollout.

Outcome

Successfully validated high user demand, granting early access to waitlisted clients.

Three phone screens on a blue background showing the Fintual USD account: an intro screen with a US flag and the headline 'Tu propia cuenta en dólares' above a 'Comprar dólares' button; a Dólares account screen showing a $51.31 USD balance and a rising investment chart from January to May; and a partial home screen greeting the user with their investing tenure and quick deposit actions.
Baubap project 3

Early payments

Empower users to better manage loan obligations by breaking them into smaller, more manageable installments.

Behavioral Design

Leveraged research showing users proactively set aside money for debt to build a structured, self-service repayment flow.

Flexible Scheduling

Designed options for weekly or fortnightly early payments to match diverse income cycles.

Early Payment Adoption: +3.01%

By replacing manual collections with a transparent, self-service repayment flow (reaching a 6.1% weekly peak).

Three phone screens on a light purple background showing the Baubap early payments flow: an intro screen with a sun illustration and the headline 'Activá tu Abono Temprano' above an 'Elegir mi plan' button; a plan selection screen offering a $1,250 weekly or $2,500 biweekly repayment plan with a first-payment date; and a schedule screen listing four upcoming payments of $1,250 each with a 'Elegir fecha' button.
Volleyboard project 4

A frictionless scoreboard

Build and ship a frictionless, ad-free scorekeeping utility app from the ground up, prioritizing immediate usability with zero setup.

Four phone screens on a light gray background showing the Volleyboard scorekeeping app: a Board view with a purple HOME tile at 15 points and a green AWAY tile at 19 points under a Set 1 tab; a Timeline view showing HOME 8 and AWAY 4 alongside a chronological list of scoring events with timestamps; a settings sheet with a descriptive title field, a Time Out panel for requesting a timeout for the Titans or Spartans, and Match Options to customize teams, restart, or delete the match; and a team editor showing Spikers 13 versus Away 16 with a team name field, color picker, and keyboard.
Stampy project 5

An interactive visual design tool

Bring forgotten memories out of the camera roll by enabling users to easily design custom, postal-stamp-themed wallpapers for their daily devices.

A desktop wallpaper design tool on a dark brown background, showing a canvas with several postal-stamp-framed travel photos arranged in a collage: a Sagrada Familia facade, a misty coastal cityscape, a person standing on a green hillside, an ornate stone archway, a shop storefront, and other architectural details, with toolbar controls for canvas size, alignment, borders, and a Save PNG button.
